Live pig price today May 11, 2023: After nearly a year, the selling price has exceeded the cost of livestock

For the first time in nearly a year, the price of live hog increased by more than 55,000 VND/kg. This is an important milestone for many farmers because it marks the price of the pig surpassing the cost of production. The upward trend continues to take place in many localities across the country.

In the North, the price of live pigs increased by 1,000 VND in Tuyen Quang and Hung Yen, to 53,000 - 54,000 VND/kg. This is the common price of many localities in the area. The lowest price of 52,000 VND/kg was recorded in Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh.

Live hog price increased for the first time to surpass 55,000 VND/kg

In the Central and Central Highlands, live hog prices increased by 2,000 VND in Binh Thuan and Quang Ngai, to 55,000 - 56,000 VND/kg. Notably, 56,000 VND/kg in Quang Ngai is the new "ceiling price" of the whole country when for the first time in nearly a year, the new livestock price threshold has been broken.

Besides, an increase of 1,000 VND was also recorded in Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak, to 53,000 - 54,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces and cities are stable in the range of 52,000 - 54,000 VND/kg.
